Subir Kumar Sabui, Ph.D

Dr. Sabui received his PhD in Organic Chemistry from Department of Organic Chemistry, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Jadavpur , Kolkata-32, India in 2005. He worked on the total synthesis of natural products. After that he moved to USA for Postdoctoral study. In his first Postdoc (2005-2006) he got the experience on nano-bioimaging; the synthesis of cyclen based multidentate chelating ligands and the attachment of Nanoparticles for biological study, synthesis of Qdot (fluorescence nano-materials), surface modification for the use of heavy metal detection and to use as pH sensor. The work was done in Nano Science Technology center, University of Central Florid, Orlando. He pursued his 2nd Postdoc (2007-2008) in the Department of Experimental Therapeutics, The University of Texas, M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas where he got experience on Design, Synthesis and characterization of peptide mimetic small molecule for the use in the development of peptide- based inhibitor of signal transduction proteins. At present he is working as a Sr. Scientist in the R&D division of Sapala Organics Pvt. Ltd. He has almost seven years’ experience in this organization where his main involvement in the synthesis of medicinal chemistry related molecule.
