Dr.S.Vijaykumar received his Ph.D in Organic Chemistry from Kakatiya University in 2020. He did his doctoral work in CSIR-IICT( Indian Institute of Chemical Technology) , Hyd from 2015-2020 in Organic Synthesis and Process Chemistry Division,under the supervision of Dr.GullapalliKumaraswamy.

During his doctoral research , he worked on the Visible-Light induced photochemistry, an alternative eco-friendly route for the production of organic compounds and his thesis entitled “ Visible-Light induced oxidative oxygenation and iodination of C(SP2)-H and C(SP)-H unsaturated bonds: A method for the synthesis of hetero atom functionalization

Worked as a Research Associate in R & D division (2011-2012) at Sai Advantium Pvt. Ltd., wherein his main responsibilities included synthesis of target molecules for FTE projects.

Before his Ph.D , from 2010-2013 he worked in AurobindoPharama Ltd , Unit-VII, Jadcherla, later he moved to Hetero Labs Ltd, Unit-VI, as a research Associate in AR&D division from 2013-2014. During this period where in his main responsibilities included GLP activities ( Good Laboratory Practices), Calibration of analytical instruments, evaluation of working standards, Raw material analysis, Method developments & Method validations . In this period he also faced audits like USFDA, UKMHRA, TGA, WHO,ISO & other customer audits.

During his doctoral studies, he participated and presented posters at varius national & international symposia,(ICOS-21, IIT-Bombay).

Dr.S.Vijaykumar is associated with Sapala Organics Pvt Ltd, since Aug2020 as a Scientific Officer.
