Dr. Srishylam Penjarla

Dr. Srishylam Penjarla received his Ph.D. from National Institute of Technology (Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India) in 2021, under the guidance of Dr. Santhosh Penta. Where he worked on the “Design Synthesis and biological evaluation of structurally diverse nucleoside derivatives. He has authored/co-authored 6 scientific publications in leading journals.

During 2006-2007, worked as a project assistant at Aisin Cosmos R&D Co., Ltd., (Toyota group of companies). From 2007-2011 worked as a Senior Chemist in R&D division at Sapala Organic Pvt. Ltd., wherein his main responsibilities synthesis of target molecules for outsourced projects on a multi kilogram scales in nucleoside and carbohydrate chemistry as core area.

Worked as a Research Associate in R & D division (2011-2012) at Sai Advantium Pvt. Ltd., wherein his main responsibilities included synthesis of target molecules for FTE projects.

He was joined Sapala organics private limited in April 2nd, 2012 and at present he is working as Sr. Research Scientist (Team Leader) in the R&D division. He has almost fourteen years of experience in this organization, where his main involvement in the synthesis of carbohydrate, base modified and sugar modified nucleosides and phosphoramidite chemistry related molecule. He has experience in executing various projects like Full time equivalent (FTE), Fee for service (FFS) and Purchase Order (PO).
