Dr. Kishore Kumar Racherla

In, 2008, Dr. Kishore Kumar received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (Hyderabad, India), Where he worked on the Design and Synthesis of New DNA-Binding ligands based on Pyrrolo[2,1-c][1,4]benzodiazepine ring system and Development of new synthetic methodologies in Organic Synthesis.

From 2008 – 2009, his post-doctoral research on Synthesis of Carboline derivatives of New Molecules at the National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, Under the guidance of Prof. Biing-Jiun Uang. From 2009 – 2011, his second post-doctoral research on Design and synthesis of structurally simple inhibitors of Trypanosoma Cruzi Lanosterol 14-demethylase (Tc-L14DM) against Chagas chemotherapy and Design and Synthesis of T. brucei Inhibitors at University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA, Under the guidance of Prof. Michael H. Gelb.

He was joined Sapala organics private limited in October 10th, 2011 and working as a Team Leader since Twelve years. At present he is working as a Principal Scientist in the R&D division. As a Synthetic and medicinal chemistry team leader, he had experience in executing various projects like Full time equivalent (FTE), Fee for service (FFS) and Purchase Order (PO). As a Ph.D. & PDF leader, he was responsible for the management of group of chemists, their activities and shipment of compound in order with high quality. While executing a project, he use to involve actively in collecting all information related to project, propose and evaluate new route, indenting chemicals, allocation of manpower, technical input, interdepartmental co-ordination, writing and review of reports, communication with client, providing technical documents required for QA and technology transfer. Along with these responsibilities, he had gained knowledge in resource management, laboratory security and confidentiality, participation in quotation preparation, participation in hiring process and also health and safety practices.
